For the past two years, I've been practicing yoga on a weekly basis out of different health clubs in the area. Then I discovered Prana! I wanted to personally thank you and your instructors for all your wisdom, guidance and spiritual insight. I have been a fitness professional for several years and have been physically active most of my life. I continue my weekly strength and cardio training regimen today. Since practicing at Prana, Yoga has taken on a new meaning. It is beyond the physical for me---it has completed my path to optimal spiritual and emotional health. It's taken on such a profound meaning in my life! The feeling is so intense at times that I find myself leaving classes on the verge of tears.... It Moves me in an inexplicable ways....It's Beautiful!-bela
I am so, so, so, so thankful that the studio and yoga have come into my life. It touches me every day in ways I never expect!

I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy yoga at Prana. I had only done it a few times prior to coming, but felt totally comfortable. I find that it helps my ability to play ice hockey and squash by working on three things that I never work on - stretching, balance & strength. It is a great atmosphere that you have created that lets me feel like I am working out, but also thinking about some of the deeper issues in life. You guys are great!

I wanted to tell you, that doing warrior one last night, my hips dropped about 2 inches. It was such a small movement and such a monumental one at the same time. For the first time in my life I let go of something being perfect, of control, and trusted my body, trusted myself. I let go of the fear of losing control, control of getting it perfect, and it was the most right that pose has ever felt. I never thought that I could do that for anything being a class A overachieving perfectionist artist! Taylor talked about the mat and the mirror last night, just after that happened to me, and something inside me felt truly real for the first time. Something got tied together. I cannot express in words how wonderful that made me feel, and what a precious moment it was.

I wanted to tell my story about Yoga in my life. It seems as if as long as I can remember I have been battling an eating disorder. It began about 9 years ago, with the conception that of course I needed to lose weight. Over the years I had a few tragedies that fueled this ongoing battle in my head. In college I hit a point where I needed to be hospitalized, but with the help and love of my mother was able to overcome and recover, so I thought. Recovery was hard though and one disorder turned into a different disorder. Instead of just starving I decided that I could eat and just get rid of the food. Eventually I sought help again, but it didn't make the mark I was hoping for. Over the last couple years I have grown a lot, but my eating habits are still not normal, and I often exercise to excess for fear of weight gain. When the running and lifting became too much and I was looking for a change I met a friend who told me about Prana. I had heard about heated yoga, but thought you must be insane to try something like that. But needless to say I woke up one morning and ventured the 45 minutes from my house to the studio, and I have not looked back ever since. Of all the help and support I have received over the years, nothing seems to have had such an impact on the way I view my body. I feel more energetic, I am happier, and most important of all I FEEL BETTER ABOUT MY BODY. I just wanted to thank you for that, I still have a long way to go, and I still run miles on miles, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it feels sooo good!

Since age 15, I've suffered from severe and chronic debilitating migraines. A couple days ago, I had my first migraine in 6 weeks. I can't remember the last time I've gone that long without a migraine. I completely attribute that to practicing power yoga regularly. I've spent the past 15 years trying countless medications and treatments and nothing has consistently worked. I'm not completely cured yet but, due to the transformational effects that I've experienced over the past 2 years that I've been practicing yoga, I do believe that someday soon, my body, mind, and spirit will heal. Thanks for creating a safe, nurturing, and challenging environment at Prana Power Yoga.

I have been using the supergreens in conjunction with increasing my YOGA practice frequency and consistency at prana--about 3-4 classes per week for the last 6 weeks or so and have definitely seen positive changes and I am so pleasantly surprised. THE COMBIINATION OF PRANA POWER YOGA AND SUPERGREENS IS AMAZING!! My digestive system has improved in ways I won't bore you with, my energy is more steady, I am more present in my everyday life, have been less reactionary, and resolved some interpersonal/ friendship issues that have been bothering me for months. I am always, always hot and have noticed that my body temperature has been much more stable lately as is my appetite. Also, doing the greens and PRANA POWER YOGA COMBO has challenged my discipline and patience and made me stay open to new information and opportunities--I feel less rigid, both personally and professionally. I have practiced yoga intermittently for several years, and now understand why you recommended coming to your mat more frequently! I have never felt better and am excited about the possibilities. Thank you for guiding me, I appreciate it so much!

If you are wondering whether to take the leap and try prana power yoga, listen to my story: Seven months after the birth of my daughter, I began to reconsider the way I wanted to feel spiritually, mentally, and physically. Having an eight month old baby who is 100% dependent on you takes tons of emotional, as well as physical stamina and doesn’t leave much time to dedicate to “self improvement”. I still had some “baby weight” to lose, but a trip to the gym and 1/2 hour on the stairmaster seemed so unfulfilling and empty. I needed to find a way to dive deeper into my "well" of reserve energy, recharge and refresh myself. If I could have more vitality and feel better about myself ( all parts, not just the outside) then I would be a better mother, better wife and just feel good in general. So i took the leap and tried a class...and i have been practicing on a regular basis ever since. I feel amazing!! After my first class I felt sore, but a different kind of sore than after a gym workout- it was an overall feeling and not isolated to one muscle as when you do weights, etc. Prana Power Yoga has helped me to regain a sense of physical grace, realize the hidden strength in my body and is refreshing to my spirit. If you do one thing just for yourself this year, let it be prana power yoga.

I went to some other studios to try them out and I was shocked because most of them were very competitive ... you guys are so open and inviting and noncompetitive. And that's really what yoga is all about.
-jon
I lost 10 pounds doing prana power yoga without even trying. I didn't change anything else (no diets, etc), but I do practice every day, and now I only want to eat good, healthy foods, without even thinking about it.
-td
When I first started yoga, you said that with a regular practice your eating will improve naturally, that you just wont want the bad stuff and that you won't get sick as often or at all. I didn't believe you and I thought that was such a bold statement, but I have to say ... you were right. It's true. I don't want to eat junk anymore. If I want something sweet, I eat fruit just naturally. No struggle, and I never get sick. This practice is such a gift. Thank you.
-susan
This practice is amazing. From the getgo you've said that your mat is a mirror. I never really got it. Now I do ... one day I was really frustrated and I didn't even know how much pain I was going through. I had all this pent up anger, and through not being able to do the poses, I understood how frustrated I was. I had to take a five minute break and come back and let go. It was an amazing release. I recognized what i was going through, and I let go.
-jon
I'm doing prana power yoga 3 times per week now, and I am totally opening up. I don't go to the gym anymore, and I don't miss it. I thought I would after 15 years of working out ... I identified myself as that. Now with yoga I see that I had to look inward -- not outward, in mirrors. The strength comes from within me. This is the hardest workout I've ever done. The gym was an obligation, something I had to do -- yoga is something I want to do.

Over the past ten years I suffered from bouts of transient back pain. Having spent most of my early years engaged in contact sports and olympic lifting at the amateur level, I suspected there might be some disc problems. While I have always been an advocate of stretching and did so before and after my workouts, I could not find relief from the discomfort in my lower back. Having ruled out disc issues through the use of medical technology, I decided to try yoga to find some relief. Yoga provided me with the combination of stretches and moves that have kept me pain free for the past year.

Sometime in March my best friend dragged me to my first yoga class ever. It was certainly one of the most physically difficult few hours I have ever had, despite a long history of dance and competitive sports. It's now August and I thank my best friend every day for bringing me to that first class. It's been 10 years since I could fit into clothing that I wore as a senior in high school. And weight loss wasn't even a primary goal, just an added benefit. What I had been looking for was an exercise program that didn't feel like exercise, that I could do consistently without getting bored, that I wouldn't give up on in two months. Well, I got that and so much more. Everyday there's a different and personal challenge waiting for me on my mat. Each of the teachers brings something new to my practice. I am grateful for the mental, physical and emotional experience that Prana Power Yoga enables, grateful for the teachers, grateful for my best friend who showed me the way there. Thank you!

I committed myself to yoga (again) in September at the same time I began counting points with Weight Watchers on-line. My results were very slow, but steady. I lost 13 pounds between September and May. I have maintained at 110 for the last month and a half and feel better than I ever have. I do yoga about 3 to 4 times a week and I try to get in 2 other days of walking on a treadmill and moderate weight lifting. I don't feel 'right' when I miss a yoga class. My life seems out of alignment, not just my back. I have kyphosis and yoga is helping me to develop the muscles necessary to push my shoulder blades down my back. I'm hoping that this preventive measure will stop me from being a hunchback when old age sets in. My coordinator/assistant knows instantly if I worked out or not. She can feel the vibe from my office before she sees me. One thing that frustrates me, is that I have trouble understanding why everyone doesn't practice. The world would be a much better place if we all took a time out on our mats. Thanks for providing a great place to connect with myself and the community that is our yoga class.

I was so happy to come upon this special yoga studio this fall. The space is beautiful, clean and tranquil. The owners/teachers are masters at their craft. After a class here you are covered in sweat, fully aligned, invigorated, relaxed, and ready for whatever comes your way when you step out the door. Try it... your body, mind and soul will like it.

When I began prana power yoga at 52 years old i was doing ballet 1-3x/week, swimming 40 min/week, and walking 5-7x/week. I had had hip pain at variable levels since age 27 following emergency surgery. Despite the fact that I'd been active in ballet for over 20 years, done jogging, aerobics, physical therapy, and been in chiropractic care, the pain never went completely away. Within 2 months of practicing prana power yoga the pain was absolutely gone.

I love prana power yoga! The instructors are so good - noticing your students work in supportive but still challenging ways. Thank you for giving our area the perfect yoga studio!

Thank you for opening our bodies and our lives!

On Sunday mornings my husband goes to his church and I go to mine: prana power yoga.

Yoga has brought to my life ... an offering unto myself; a release from judgment, comparison, criticism, categorization. It's cleansing, healing, and balancing. It's a practice in presence, awareness, listening and honoring what you hear. It's explorative. It's a dance. It's grace in motion. It's rejuvenating, refining, transcending. It's the release of habitual patterns that limit us. An invitation and reminder that who we are is grander than our egos could possibly perceive! It's a practice in acceptance, it's gentle and offers freedom from the ideas of what we think things should look like! It's one path home, it's a surrender. It's an emptying and filling of your cup and it requires you to turn the sense of your perception inward and simply observe ... It's what you bring to it ...

Yoga showed me and keeps reminding me that anything is possible in my life. I love it.
-christine
Yoga immediately began to change the way I see "out" of my mind and body, as well as "in". The reactionary, heart thumping intensity that I often succumb to has been replaced with a sense of calm perspective. In addition to the obvious healthy body benefits, I am now gaining a healthier mind.
-deanna
As a beginner to power yoga I enjoyed the physical growth of a longer, leaner, stronger body. After almost 2 years of practicing, I also enjoy new growth in other ways, such as increased tolerance every day, whether it be for a perfect stranger in a check-out line... or in a traffic jam... or just around the house with my 3 little boys.
-missy
Before I began practicing yoga, anxiety and guilt ruled the day. Yoga has helped me let go of that while also giving me an amazing workout.
-amy
The reason I came back is because Taylor was not a "yoga snob". She made me feel comfortable.

Just wanted to let you know the great report my doctor gave me. He said I have a resting heartbeat of 46 beats. This is typical of a marathon runner. Well, I'm only doing minor exercise - Yoga has been my main focus for the past four months! Thanks!
-sarah
In simplest terms, yoga has transformed me. For years, I have been an aggressive athlete with a type A personality, who was very hesitant to stray away from high impact cardiovascular exercise and strenuous weight lifting. When I finally decided to broaden my horizons and try yoga at prana, my whole world changed. I began with one session a week, and now I CRAVE at least four. Besides all of the body and physical transformations, I have a much calmer mentality, and I am much more open to new experiences. I LOVE YOGA and I am confident that as I keep growing spiritually, physically, and mentally, I will hold all of these experiences and my yoga practice for a lifetime.
-allison
After spending 15 years criticizing my body, yoga has helped me overcome this self-deprecating mode, letting me move into my body, connecting mind and body. This connection has led to a more satisfying sense of self and the world around me, letting me open my mind to the beauty around me, within myself and others.
-caroline
Yoga means to me not dreading the daily workout. It means being in my body, which I often resist. It means noticing how wild my mind is. But it always means leaving feeling a relaxation formerly not known to me. It means getting honest with myself, and most days, it creates sincere gratitude.
-whitney
I feel like I am 30 again!

I was amazed, when I started doing yoga, how much I had never strengthened my back before. Now after just a few sessions, I can tell I'm standing straighter, walking taller, and looking thinner! I love it!
-brenda
Besides losing weight and leaning out my body, since starting yoga my posture has improved greatly. I am no longer stiff in the mornings, and most notable for me, my appetite and choices of foods have gradually changed. I used to be a big eater, now I eat less and seem to make healthier choices. I also noticed I am much calmer about life since practicing yoga.
-peter
I have lost over 20 lbs JUST doing power yoga, it's incredible. I feel my center much deeper than I have ever before and my energy level has increased notably. I feel great.
-jamy
I am committed to this practice. It's helping me write my novel. It's helping me help myself: when I get stuck and frightened and panic when I am writing, I just get up and do a tree pose and breathe. Then I calm down and am able to write again.
-lauren
After a class, I feel like I've had a weekend - I feel clear, fresh, and everything is in better perspective. I'm less frantic.

This practice has transformed me. In 6 months, my life, body, soul and mind have become stonger, calmer and more focused. My practice here has been the beginning of what I hope to be a life long journey to grow and develop both physically, mentally and spiritually. Most importantly it has made me really believe that I can do 'it;'... whatever that 'it' may be. I have learned to re-build "my house on a strong foundation" (that quote alone has changed the way I think). The instructors make the class come alive by outwardly believing in each and evey student...and it has made me believe in myself.
-michelle
This is the best I've felt in my entire life. Everything has come together for me - mind, body, and spirit. I'm in a totally different place - prana power yoga is awesome.

As the mother of a 13 month old, I began working with prana power yoga instructors 3 months ago for the purpose of strengthening, detoxifying, and relaxing. I also ended up losing 7 inches overall! No combination of exercise programs since the birth of my son has given me such wonderful results!
-anastasia
I began working with prana power yoga instructors about six months ago. At that time, I was working full time, teaching law classes at a university and studying for the Bar exam. I realized that I needed to do something to de-stress as the stress of life had resulted in my almost daily headaches and TMJ. I cannot believe the difference that power yoga has made in my life- physically, mentally and spiritually. In no time at all, I have become stronger and more flexible. I have also become more patient with myself and others. Since I started prana power yoga, I have not been plagued by headaches or symptoms of TMJ. I have finally found an exercise that not only improves my physical being but also my mental well being and overall outlook on life.

Prana is… the greatest place I have ever been. I have never felt so alive in my entire life! I am so happy to have found Prana. I have been going to the Fundamentals class with Lauren F…she is amazing! I feel so comfortable and calm during class, all while getting the best workout I have ever experienced! I am a life-long athlete, and now having found another outlet for exercise, I am so thrilled… Keep up the amazing work!

“I want to send a note of thanks to all of the teachers at Prana. I am so thankful and happy every day that I get a chance to go to a class. I took my first Prana class during my maternity leave because I wasn't feeling strong enough to make it back to the gym. I took a class thinking it would be a "little" workout and thinking I would enjoy the 90 minutes of quiet. 20 minutes into the class I knew I was hooked. My body and mind felt absolutely wonderful - a feeling I've never had when I was at the gym or running. There is a difference in my entire day when I start it off with a class; I am all around happier. I love going to Prana. Thank you very much!!”

Jacqui's Chakra Cleanse class is the most complete yoga class I have
ever taken. I'd say best or my favorite but this would be too
subjective! Jaqui's class is complete in that it melds the body, the
mind and our internal energetic systems that inspire and fuel our life
and spirit.
Jacqui's knowledge of the chakras is strong and clear. Her ability to
communicate the passion she has for this topic, brought chills and
goosebumps to my skin. As Jacqui talks the class thru the Prana flow,
she focuses the mind on the energetic chakras. What luck to work thru
the flow and have words, pictures and sounds to keep the busy thoughts
away! What skill Jacqui brings to the class as we flow her voice and
knowledge of our chakras! How clear and clean I felt after class.
Rejuvenated inside and out. A special experience.

I practice yoga all over the world and I just want to thank Taylor and Philippe for creating Prana Power Yoga. It's the BEST I've found all over the world!!

I am new to heated flow yoga--yoga in general--and I am loving it! I've been an athlete my whole life, I study and teach martial arts, gymnastics, run triathlons, and have always known that yoga should fit into my life somewhere. I truly grateful for finding Prana Power Yoga. Thank you!
-jessica
You have created a new standard for yoga and it's hard to find anything close to what you offer. I commend you on your studios.

Okay, I’m back prana style. Upon hitting my peak weight in July I went back to Prana for help! I did measurement in July upon starting yoga and I completed 6 classes in July and today August 1st, and I have lost 2.87 inches on my measurements!! I lost .25 and .12 inches on my calves, .25 on each bicep ( and getting some shape to them), 1 inch on my waist and .25 and .5 on my thighs!! And I can feel myself getting stronger! All your teachers have been great since I started. Thanks Taylor and Phillipe for giving us the tools to take control of our lives and remember to celebrate everything!
-s.b.
I am a runner and initially came to yoga as a way to ward off injury, but I recently gave myself the gift of one month free of running and practicing at prana at least 6 days a week – it was amazing. For the first time, I’m skipping marathon training this year because I’m worried it will interfere with my yoga practice!
-andrea
Taylor thank you!!!!!! I am amazed by the abundance in my life and feel so blessed. Words can't describe it. You have been (and continue to be) such a phenomenal teacher in my life. Even when I can't practice as often as I want at Prana, what I take away from my lessons on my mat is with me always.
-m.h.
You definitely have the best yoga studios ever!! I drive all the way from West Newbury to Wilmington (passed about a thousand yoga studios) to have the best yoga experience ever!!
-mw
The verdict: This clean, modern studio is Alan Cumming’s favorite yoga
spot, but it’s no hoity-toity celeb hang: Warm, attentive teachers
encourage noncompetitiveness and remind you to go into child’s pose
whenever things get too difficult. The emphasis here is on your
practice and what feels right—even if that means just lying there.
This is a great place to try hot yoga for the first time.
